- R2: inc × 6 (12)
- R3: (1 sc, inc) × 6 (18)

- Insert the safety eyes between R6 and R7, about 6 stitches apart. Stuff firmly.

Side fins

Tail fins
Make 2 exactly as for the side fins.
Assembly
- Sew one side fin to each side of the body around R8.
- Sew the two tail fins next to each other at the back of the whale.
- Embroider a tiny mouth with black or dark grey thread if desired.
- Weave in all ends.
